Resources

Here are some resources that I consider useful for personal home use in your quest for clarity in your faith:

- Bible: I have several and having more than one can be really great. It's good to have a version that has been translated as close to word for word as possible from the original text. I also like have a translation around, which is a persons rewording of the original scriptural text. Just make sure that if you are looking for a specific answer your better bet is your version Bible not your translation one. I personally use NIV for my version and New Living Translation for my translation.

- Strong's Concordance: I recently picked one of the concise versions of this Bible study tool up at Barnes and Noble (along with a dictionary for about $15). Whether you opt for the concise (short) version or the exhaustive (which references every single word occurrence  this tool will help you find what God has to say about different topics.

Pod casts:  Be wary here but these little bitty sermons can pack a punch. There are many free pod casts available and these can be a good way to challenge any preconceived notions you have about faith. Take what is discussed and reference it back directly to God's word using the above tools. Viola!

 - "An Unhurried Life" by Alan Fadling. It is very simply the life changing book that I feel that everyone should read. Don't have to like to read or read it fast (in fact reading a book about "un-hurry" quickly would be rather an oxymoron). It is something I feel that I will read so many times in my walk with Jesus that it will become worn and tattered.
